These Terms of Use ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "user") and QuoteMyRoof ("QuoteMyRoof," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of quotemyroof.org and our quote facilitation service (collectively, the "Service").
By accessing our website, submitting a quote request, or otherwise using the Service, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
QuoteMyRoof is a free quote facilitation service. We:
We are not a licensed roofing contractor, general contractor, or construction company. We do not perform any roofing work and are not a party to any agreement between you and a contractor.
Our service is provided at no charge to homeowners. We may receive compensation from contractors for lead referrals, which does not affect the objectivity of our quote evaluation.
To use this Service you must:
We reserve the right to decline service to any request that falls outside our service area or that we reasonably believe contains inaccurate information.
By submitting a quote request, you represent and warrant that:
You acknowledge that the accuracy of the quotes you receive depends in significant part on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. QuoteMyRoof is not responsible for inaccurate quotes resulting from inaccurate information submitted by you.
QuoteMyRoof does not guarantee that (a) a contractor quote will be available for your specific project, (b) any quote delivered to you is the lowest available price in your market, (c) any contractor will ultimately perform work at the quoted price, or (d) the quote will be delivered within any specific timeframe. We make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver results within 24 hours but this is a target, not a contractual commitment.
All quotes are provided by independent third-party contractors and are subject to on-site inspection, material availability, and the contractor's own terms and conditions. Quoted prices are estimates and may change following an in-person assessment.
Roofing contractors who provide quotes through our service are independent businesses, not employees, agents, or partners of QuoteMyRoof. We do not supervise, control, or direct the work of any contractor.
QuoteMyRoof makes reasonable efforts to work only with licensed, insured contractors, but we do not independently verify every contractor's license, insurance, bonding, or reputation on an ongoing basis. You are solely responsible for independently verifying a contractor's credentials, license status, and insurance before hiring them. In Virginia, you can verify contractor licenses at the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). In West Virginia, you can verify at the West Virginia Division of Labor.
Any contract for roofing services is solely between you and the contractor. QuoteMyRoof is not a party to that contract and has no liability for the contractor's performance, workmanship, materials, warranties, or any disputes arising from the project.
By submitting a quote request, you expressly consent to receive communications from QuoteMyRoof, including:
We will not contact you by phone or text message unless you separately provide explicit consent for such contact. We will not share your phone number or email address with any contractor or third party for marketing purposes.
You may opt out of all non-transactional communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting privacy@quotemyroof.org.
You agree not to use the Service to:
Violation of these restrictions may result in termination of your access to the Service and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.
The QuoteMyRoof name, logo, website design, content, and all associated intellectual property are owned by or licensed to QuoteMyRoof and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any portion of the Service without our express written permission.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
QUOTEMYROOF DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR USEFULNESS OF ANY QUOTE OR OTHER INFORMATION OBTAINED THROUGH THE SERVICE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties. In such jurisdictions, the above exclusions apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, QUOTEMYROOF AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND SUCCESSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOST PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF QUOTEMYROOF HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL QUOTEMYROOF'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of liability for personal injury or incidental damages. In such cases, the above limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless QuoteMyRoof and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and successors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) your violation of any third-party right, or (d) any claim that information you submitted is inaccurate or misleading.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be subject to informal resolution. You agree to contact us at legal@quotemyroof.org and provide a written description of the dispute before initiating any legal action, and to allow 30 days for us to attempt to resolve it.
If informal resolution fails, any legal action arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Warren County, Virginia, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts. Notwithstanding the foregoing, you retain the right to bring claims in small claims court for disputes within that court's jurisdiction.
Jury trial waiver: TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND QUOTEMYROOF EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL IN ANY LEGAL PROCEEDING ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date and, where practical, by emailing users who have submitted a recent quote request. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
